What does a lighting installation entail?
Inspection
Firstly the electrical engineer will assess if the light is broken or faulty. Then an evaluation of the area where the lights will be installed is performed, considering factors such as the lighting requirements, electrical capacity, and any existing wiring or fixtures. They will determine the type and number of lights needed and create a plan for their installation.
Safety
As like any electrical work, the engineer will turn off the power supply for the area where they will be installing the lights. This precaution is taken to ensure the safety of both the individuals involved and the property itself.
Installation
The installation process involves the engineer attaching mounting brackets, plates, or boxes to provide support for the light fixtures. They will then run electrical wires from the power source to the light fixtures. If required, the engineer will also install switches, dimmers, or other control devices.
Test
Once the installation is complete, the engineer will restore the power, and test the lights and controls to ensure they are functioning properly.
